How the Brexiteers came to own the libs

There’s a strange tendency in conservative commentary that is often called Owning the Libs. Owning the Libs means trying to score one against your opponents by totally accepting the premises of their argument, while disingenuously stating a reason for something that no one believes you actually care about. ‘Owning the Libs’ means superficially portraying the Left as bad but in fact recognising their moral worldview.
