Regarding historical myths, the academic Left has spent a great deal of time "dismantling" American founding and British imperial myths. But I believe that the we just replace the old myths with new ones, the former being sources of inspiration and patriotism, the latter being sources of despair, self-loathing and self-destruction.
Someone needs to start cataloging Leftist historical myths.
I did not like Barbie. Tom Holland (the historian, not the Spider-Man) said: 'As for Barbie itself, I thought it was one of the most shameless illustrations Hollywood has yet produced of capitalism’s noxious ability to have its moral cake & eat it.' Mattel must be delighted. Though oddly in these Green times of company virtue signalling the film didn't mention how many tons of plastic Barbie waste have accumulated since 1959.
speaking of which, those Lego versions of franchises, like Lego Batman or whatever, are some of the most aesthetically hideous things ever produced, and basically the nadir of kidult aesthetics
I really enjoy the monthly Sunday West.

Thanks! The next one won’t be so long in coming!

It was basically the same as the Lego movie in that sense. even the same actor.

Genuinely relived to learn the Lycra was a joke.
