The third Canon Club event took place last month, with Professor Douglas Hedley talking to us about Samuel Taylor Coleridge, best known as a poet and one of the founders of the Romantic Movement, but also a literary critic, philosopher and theologian.
Douglas Hedley is Professor of the Philosophy of Religion and Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge. He is an expert on Platonism and Neoplatonism, and has written a number of books on philosophy, including one on this very subject, Coleridge, Philosophy and Religion: Aids to Reflection and the Mirror of the Spirit.
The speech can be found here. The Canon Club talks can now be found on Spotify and on Pocket Casts.
Enjoy!
